Challenge

Many maths apps feel like digital worksheets: little sense of play, hardly any story and rarely real variety. At the same time, Arithia had to work fully offline, without accounts, backend or tracking, and still be motivating, child-friendly and durable.

Result

Arithia is now a production-ready app with 12 chapters, 26 puzzle types, 48 spells and 122 automated tests. It runs fully offline, is bilingual (DE/EN) and available as a PWA and a native Android app.

Solution

The result is a complete learning app that embeds maths in a magical story world: children repair spells instead of solving worksheets. 26 dynamic puzzle generators, 4 difficulty levels, bonus games, a profile system and a parents’ area provide variety and long-term motivation, entirely without static task lists.
